I was completely surprised by this little gem and loved everything about it. From the room, to the facilities in the room, to the staff and right through to the owners. Everything was completely perfect. We were spoiled for choice for our evening meal with exceptionally tasty food and bigger portions than we could eat. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and all served up with lovely smiles and cheerfulness. I loved Judith's ethos in that she provides in her hotel what she would like to enjoy when staying in hotels herself. I will definitely be back.

Booked a 1 night Half board package to accommodate us on our long drive from the Highlands back down to Somerset. The hotel was very clean, our spacious quiet room and bathroom immaculately so with comfy bed, decent shower and a good hairdryer. There was plenty of tea and coffee supplies with more on the landing area if you should run out and lovely decent sized mugs! There was also an iron and board in the room. Service was informal but very friendly and professional. The 3 course dinner was excellent, extremely good value for money with very generous portions and I had perfectly poached eggs on the local toasted bread for breakfast the next morning, very tasty! It's a bit of a detour off the M6 but in a very quiet area and we'll be sure to book again next time we need to overnight on our way to/from Scotland!

This was the best hotel I have stayed in for a weekend away. The staff were amazingly accommodating, the food was incredible and every detail was thought through. Beautiful decor, little touches like help yourself to top ups of tea/coffee/biscuits and lovely soaps and lotions. The menu was so good we wanted to stay a week to sample everything. The roast duckling with apricot stuffing with gratin potatoes and fresh vegetables was melt in the mouth delicious and could only be followed by the trio of yummy desserts because on day 2 I was careful to choose a non filling starter - the portions are very generous and on the first night I had to leave half of my delicious steak and forgo a dessert. There were four of us and every choice was amazing. The choices for breakfast were all you would expect and nothing was too much trouble, eggs done any way you could think of and all cooked perfectly. Endless perfect coffee and juice. The location was delightful, Covid measures were in place, just perfect. We all said we'd be back and you could recommend this to anyone. Thank you so much.
